Hi there!
I'm a writer and editor, but you will find I'm also terrible at 'About Me' pages and profiles and platforms and all this public 'who am I' stuff. So here's a quick run-down of some of my experience so far. Get in touch and I'll be happy to tell you more!
I have ten years of professional writing and editing experience and have worked content media since 2010: handling print features and digital content, most recently as the editor of the content department at a media organization. My responsibilities involved managing a content team, dealing with clients, and conceptualizing new content for prospective projects. My clients and projects I've worked on have included a daily newspaper: The Afternoon DC, a UK-based consumer magazine: Right Choice, content for a hotel chain: Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces, a relationship portal: Floh.in, and many more.
I’ve also worked independently on freelance projects, as a travel writer and editor for a lifestyle website; editor, and content manager on the newsletter team for short film firm, Shamiana; and as an editor for novels such as The Girl Behind The Glass and Love, Whatever That Means. I have a BA (Hons) from The University of London and an MFA from Sarah Lawrence.
I’ve had stories, essays, opinion pieces and poetry published through the years as well, including a collection of poems titled Poetry Through Time published in 2003, and a short story called “In Search of a Memory”, which won the Tata LitLive story award in 2012 and was also made into a short film that was screened at the IIFA Awards (2014) in Miami.
I write, edit, proofread, scribble, draw... basically, I'm pretty sure I can help you with whatever content-related stuff you need!
